    George H W Bush condemns the Chinese government in the role of the Tiananmen Square massacre. He also announces a number of condemnatory actions, including the suspension of American weapons to China. George H W Bush, before his presidential career, was the envoy to China of the United States. In response to the Tiananmen Square incident, many countries denounced the actions of the Chinese government.
