    The Fourteenth Amendment ratified in 1868) is about citizenship rights and equal protection of the laws for all persons.

    The Fifteenth Amendment (ratified in 1870) extended the voting right to all male citizens without discrimination in terms of race, color, or previous servitude.

    It was only in the nineteenth that voting rights were extended to females.
