Which civil rights leader believed african americans could earn equality by learning vocational skills?

    It was Booker T. Washington. He believed that the African Americans should concentrate on economic security for them to progress and gain equality which they could earn by learning vocational skills that will allow them to find jobs with a stable income, acquire property and be financially independent.
