    Frances Perkins is popular for being the first woman cabinet member. As a Department Labor Secretary under Franklin Roosevelt administration, she played a major role by starting the New Deal Legislation. This includes the law for minimum wages. As she became the Chairwoman of CES, the President’s Committee on Economic Security, she is hands-on on all report creation. She created Social Security Act of 1935.
