Which side the Allied Powers or the Central Powers suffered the most casualties? Explain.

The Allied Powers suffered the most casualties, with about 1 million British casualties, 1.7 million French and Russian casualties, 460k Italian casualties and 112k United States casualties. On the other hand, Germany suffered 2 million casualties and Austria-Hungary suffered 1.5 million. Overall, I'd say the split is roughly 60-40.
