    Innovations in agricultural technology increased the production of cotton As a result, Southern plantations needed greater numbers of enslaved workers. Slavery was seen as a necessary part of the Industrial revolution.

    Because once those were made the people found out that it was easier and faster to work with machines. so this is what started people creating new inventions.
