Why was there so much demand for non-renewable resources during the late 1800s?

    Well there was so much demand due to that during the late 1800s the industrial revolution was going on. So non-renewable resources such as coal, iron or any earth type material would of been used to create structures and enable fast manufacturing of all kinds of products.
