Which best describes Frederick Douglass? He was a former enslaved person who became a speaker. He was born into a slaveholding family and later became a Quaker. He was one of the leaders of the Second Great Awakening. He was the founder of the abolitionist newspaper the Liberator.

    Frederick douglass was famous basically for that reason only. He escaped slavery and began writing about antislavery. His books then became well known.
