What were the legal rights of slaves relative to their masters in the late 1600's under the Barbados Slave Code?

    The Barbados slave code sought to protect slaves from cruel masters & masters from unruly slaves. The law required masters to provide one set of clothing per year but it set no standards for slaves' diet, housing, or working conditions.!
