    The Great Famine of 1845 refers to the period when the potato crop failed in successive years (between 1845 - 1849)

    Before the Great Famine, The Irish population experienced a healthy Growth each year, but after the great Famine the Irish population dropped to almost 2 million and they're dropped off to poorer neighborhoods.
