How did internment affect the lives of japanese americans?

    After Pearl Harbor occurred, many Americans feared for their safety and decided to put 110,000 Japanese Americans in detention camps. This stripped many Japanese Americans of their homes and properties, sometimes even breaking up families as the men were taken away and classified as "enemies" and "aliens".
