The fourth amendment listed in the United States Constitution focuses on prohibiting unreasonable searches and seizures without a warrant (warrant must have a reasonable reason to conduct search). Of course, the warrant must specify what they are searching and are trying to seize. For example, law enforcement authorities search your home for illegal guns, but instead they found stolen money and etc. You are breaking the law, but they can't arrest or seize you for that because it was not listed on the warrant. If they seize that item without having it properly listed on a warrant, the courts does not count the evidence as lawfully obtained and the charges are drop.
