What happens directly after a bill is introduced in the new mexico legislature?

After the bill is introduced in either House of the representatives of senate, it will go under committee action. It is where the public has the opportunity to testify whether they are in favor to the bill. After which, the committee can take several actions like passing or dismissing the bill.
