yes, a nation or emperor can take over another nation with its military intelligence they can take over but the problem is that they cant take over another nation without any allies supporting them unless they tell other nations to back down and not intervene with the problem. My opinion on imperialism is that they have became less oppressive as the world has become more industrialized because now the nations instead of having an imperious now they have a president and now they can vote or us the people can now vote to the person elected to represent us the people.
