Ummah means Community. Was the main goal of a muslims life to make this just community. Fair distribution of wealth.
Ghazu means Raid. Tribes began to conduct gazus against the rich Meccan Caravans which brought them income but a Ghazu against ones own tribe was considered a serious breach in precedent.
