Why do you think the prosecution questioned sacco on his political beliefs?

Sacco was not a native born American. Him and Vanzetti were of Italian descent. At that time, Immigrants and especially those from Italy were not looked upon favorably. They were also self declared anarchists. These are two main reasons their political beliefs were questioned.
