According to the timeline, why did many americans oppose the vietnam war?

    Following the Tet Offensive, Americans started opposing American participation in the Vietnam war because they saw that there was nothing noble or good about it and they believed that the rich were just forcing fights using American soldiers as cannon fodder. They started gathering and organizing massive protests and eventually the US had to leave the war.
