The Reds, also known as Communists, replaced the Hun as the object of American hatred. Before its wide usage in the time of World War (both I and II), the Huns were originally nomads who has a great contribution to the fall of the Roman Empire and triggered mass evacuation of Germanic tribes. Under the reign of Attila the Hun, they terrorized the Italy and fought Germanic tribes.
