He was a Danish physicist and chemist that discovered magnetic fields created by electric currents, known as the Oersted’s Law. He is known to have founded many societies and organizations that disseminated knowledge of natural sciences in society. He is one of the first modern thinkers that explicitly described and named the thought experiment.
