A key belief of Calvinism in the 1500s was that human beings are born free from all sins. children should not attend religious services. only priests and popes should interpret the Bible. some people are picked before birth for salvation.

    Irresistible Grace - when God calls his elect into salvation, they can not resist His call.

    Perseverance of the Saints or known as Once Saved Always Saved - one cannot lose his salvation. Those elected by God, redeemed by Jesus, and applied salvation by the Holy Spirit are eternally secure
