What impact did the erie canal have on new york city? it forced new york to support other canal projects. it turned new york into the nation's largest city. it affect new york very little since the canal was connected to boston. it caused new york to build a new bureaucratic structure to manage the canal. it enabled immigrants arriving in new york to move south much quicker?
