    The Fifth Amendment guarantees that people do not have to incriminate themselves in court.

    You see this amendment in movies and shows all the time - when a policeman captures a criminal, he usually says - you have the right to remain silent - which belongs to the Fifth Amendment because it gives you the right not to testify against yourself.
