Plato is famous for being one of the most influential figures in Western philosophy, and his student Aristotle went on to have a similarly large impact on the world.

He is generally famous for being Socrates' student, you probably know that. He gave a bunch of speeches, some of which include "Symposium". Some were more philosophical, like the Theory of Forms, which applies abstract and physical thinking to the plain of modern existence.
