    Abolitionists: They wanted slavery gone from the US forever

    Know-Nothings: Like their names imply, they were usually clueless of what was going on

    Free-Soilers: They didnt like slavery, but they didnt hate it as much as the abolitionists either, they just didnt want slavery to spread
