    Everything was in place for Operation Overlord and the chosen invasion day which is, Monday, June 5th. But the seas were far too choppy. There was a possibility that the troops might wind up at the bottom of the Channel, or land on the beaches. General Eisenhower needed a break in the weather. Checking and rechecking the weather maps on to which day they might see a window of opportunity.
