Compare and contrast the military and political structure of the hittites and the assyrians

The Assyrians empire first begun around the Mesopotamian region. They started out as small empires after the fall of the larger empires. Hittites conquered the better part of Asia before they moved to encounter Mesopotamia. The Hittites had strong military power and used weapons such as iron to conquer Mesopotamia. However, in the long turn, they were defeated by the Assyrians.
