    C: A strong industrial economy

The North had most of the factories during the war as many of their cities were very industrialized. The South only had plantations and wasn't really suited for mass war production.

The South and the North were fighting on home soil, and both also had strong military leadership. However only the South was fighting for its passion of life, while the North was fighting for a reunification of the states.
