The Hindenburg line consisted of three defense trench system that was heavily guarded by German troops. Allied forces tried to break through the fortified trenches to seize Germany's strategic battle forts. US Troops allied with Australian soldiers launched three attacks to systematically take down the three guarded trenches forcing the German troops to retreat.
