    The correct answer is C - The Nile was both a benefit and a disadvantage for Egypt because whilst it provided water and fertility, is also brought destruction through flooding. An interesting fact is that the Ancient Egyptians actually thought that the reason for this regular flooding each year was the annual mourning of the Goddess Isis, as she cried for her deceased husband Osiris.
