1. WW1 had greatly affected Turkey.
2. The Turkish mainly wanted to root out political dissenters, so the Armenians were targeted because of Kurdish rule and bias.
3. The government began to kill the Armenians that lived within the country or imprisoned them. To this day it is still not officially recognized as a genocide by the Turkish government.
