    This was what was shown to be unfair and socially negative in the Brown v. Board of Education decision. The idea that, socially, we should allow for schools to be segregated based upon race gave the imprimatur to the idea that some schools were simply "worse" than others and that the students didn't deserve the same levels of socialization and education that others, mainly white schools, received.
