Natural resources are in high demand and can be the center of a country's economy. However, most natural resources are limited in supply and will eventually run out. Countries dependent on the resource as either an import or export will eventually have to diversify. Oil is an example of a high demand natural resource which the wealth of the Middle East has been built. However, oil is a limited resource and is not environmentally friendly. This has forced many countries to find alternate energy resources.
