Why was the Great Awakening a springboard to colonial unrest?

    The Great Awakening promoted equalization for all. The colonists believed that they should be held in the same light as British citizens who lived in Britain. The colonists were upset by the unfair treatment they received from the monarchy and other wealthy British citizen.
