Direct democracy is a form of democracy where people decide on, in different forms of voting, on policy initiatives directly, where no one is representing them in government, but they are representative of themselves and direct democracy has also been referred to as pure democracy. I know this is a long sentence, so the first part of the sentence can be just used.
