At the Constitutional Convention, delegates debated whether slaves should be included when calculating a state's population. Why was this issue important, and how was the debate resolved?

    It was debated; it would increase the Souths population size and that would effect the amount of representatives in a state. They finally concluded to a 2/3 compromise where 2/3 of the slaves population would count.
