Once you're approved for naturalization, you have to take the Oath of Allegiance to the United States.

To become Canadian, you must swear the Oath of Allegiance to the Queen of Canada. The oath is vital in the naturalization process. No oath means not becoming a citizen. Other countries have similar laws.
