Citizens of Sparta and Athens would most likely be people living in a "City State" according to recent studies of the Greek mythology

Men and only men could be citizens of Sparta and Athens due to this fact that women in helelnisti morality weren't fully human being, there view on that which was human and that which wasn't. This wasn't contrary to judeochristian (there were no natural rights).
