How did the transatlantic slave trade benefit European plantation owners in the West Indies? It allowed them to grow and produce goods more cheaply.     The transatlantic slave trade had a consequential benefit and advantage for European plantation owners in the ways that it was able to open up and increase trade between the Americas, bringing an array of new products and items into Europe that had previously not been seen.
