IB History paper question: Define limited war and explain to what extent one twentieth century war was a limited war.

Limited war is the idea of restraining the way war is conducted. This can include confining an area to fight on, limiting targets, weapons, and the degree of mobilization being used. Examples in the 20th century would be the Korean and Vietnam wars. This is an example because the US did not use all of it's military and economical resources.
