The United States stopped all trade of oil, steel, and scrap iron with Japan on August 1, 1941. There is evidence that President Franklin Roosevelt was worried about cutting off all oil to Japan. What might have been his concern?

    Japan would have traded the oil to nazi germany and fascist Italy
