Italy during the Renaissance is best described as a hub of cultural, intellectual and artistic achievement. People who lived on Italian soil enjoyed various benefits from it; compared to living somewhere in Russia at the time. Italy was undergoing a cultural shift, there was a lot of emphasis on art, literature, sculptures, cuisine, etc. It was a very pleasant time to live in at the time.
