Who were not invited to the berlin conference apex?

In 1884, fourteen countries met in Berlin, Germany to discuss the division of Africa. Ironically, despite the entire conference being about the continent of Africa, the African people themselves were left off of the invitation list. Not a single African person, group, town, or country was represented during this time.
