Because slaves were forcefully brought by boats from other places.

The slaves cam from Africa by boat and were apart of the trade triangle between Africa, America and England. Africa would supply America with Slaves, America would supply England with cotton from the cotton farms in which the slaves worked and England would supply Africa with the necessities to transport the slaves e. g. food
