For example, when the British started the Tea Act, where the Parliament taxed all tea imports except the British East India Tea company, colonists were outraged so they rebelled with the Boston Tea party. Another example would be, since the English forced the colonists to pay taxes on imports, the colonists would illegally import their own things under the watch of the British government.
