What were causes and effects of Korean war

    The causes of the Korean War, especially the US intervention aspect of it was that the United States was weary of a communist and soviet aggression in Asia. They were also afraid that if they attacked Korea, after China fell to communism, that this would spark a war within Europe. Truman felt that if the Soviets used aggression, it would undermine all the efforts the United States and the United Nations had put in to stop communism.

    The effects of South Korea and North Korea were both very different. South Korea modernized and industrialized and now boasts a huge capital called Seoul. North Korea however carried out many executions and deaths in forced labor camps and have been routinely known to using crimes against humanity on its people.
