What's the connection between a social contract and a constitution

    The social contract is implied in the constitution and gives citizens protection of civil rights and liberties in exchange for loyalty to the government. the 14th amendment has the 'due process clause' which is parallel in value to the social contract. you can also check article 4, section 4 of the constitution to see another implicitly stated right meted by the social contract.
