The Indian case of attaining self rule is one of the most read nationalism stories in the world. the movement was led by Gandhi who advocated for use of peaceful means of attaining independence. Gandhi was against violent conflicts and whenever violent protests broke out, he would go on hunger strikes. Gandhi methods however would not have been successful were it not for the changing global dynamics resulting from the ww2.
