How did the treaty of Versailles affect postwar germany

The treaty basically screwed the citizens of Germany by burdening them with reparations for the expense of the war, leading to the economic collapse, civil unrest due to unemployment and starvation and created an atmosphere that allowed the rise of the Nazis.
