How do you think the building of the Panama Canal impacted Central America? What advantages did the Panama Canal give to the world?

The Panama Canal gave America a huge trading advantage being able to go from place to place without having to go around any country's. The Panama was wore or less a short cut to other places. It also allowed country's to come in and trade or import goods and allowed easy access to those things.
