Why would European Americans still be hateful toward Japanese citizens when they returned home from internment camps?

    Japan gave Axis Europeans a bad name, because of the attack on Pearl Harbor (Axis and Japan were allies). And since Axis is mostly European, European Americans were bitter towards Japanese.
